Loss of Healthy Curve in the Lower Spine
and Pelvic Organ Prolapse
A study in the December 2000 issue of the American Journal of Obstetrics and
Gynecology, presented findings that, we believe, should lead more people straight
to us and chiropractic care. The study concluded that an abnormal change
in spinal curvature, specifically in the natural forward curve of the lower
spine (the part that stays slightly off the floor when you lie flat
on your back), seems to create a substantial risk of the individual developing
pelvic organ prolapse.
The major point here is that these people developed a loss of natural healthy
curve. A significant number of individuals in this study who had lost the normal
forward curve of their lower backs had a condition called pelvic organ prolapse.
Pelvic organ prolapse is a situation where the normal structure of muscles
and ligaments which hold your internal organs where they belong have stopped
doing their job. Over time, everything inside you slumps into your pelvic region.
Organs are stressed-and can create pain.
The challenge is to restore the spinal curvature to as near a state of normal
as possible. Discovering the problem early and correcting it early is the way
to go. So, let's go. Give us a call, today, and we will check your spine for
loss of natural curve and begin the correction
